Passport Books are valid for international travel by air, sea or land.

Passport Cards are valid when entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land border crossing. Passport Cards are NOT valid for internatonal travel by air.

-by El Gitano Peasco, "The Peasco Gypsy" On May 19th, 2010, El Jefe, I mean President Felipe Caldern, will address the U.S. Congress and while he is making 'nice' I thought I'd ask him to pass along our blessings from the lovely (near) border town and beautiful Sea of Cortez community of Puerto Peasco, Mexico. And if while 'The Boss' is in D. C. and gets a chance to have a 'chat' with Senators Jon Kyl and John McCain from Arizona I hope he brings up the newest law they are introducing which will basically turn, IMHO, our border(s) and region into a real tourist attraction war zone... Now don't get me wrong as I'm all for 'security' on both sides of the 'line' but these two clowns U.S. national leaders want to add 3000 U.S. Troops along the border PLUS 3,000 more Custom and Border Agents, new fences, APCs, increased aerial surveillance cameras, helicopters, drones and... That isn't enough though, as the two Republicans also "want to expand a program known as Operation Streamline that charges illegal immigrants with low-level crimes and requires them to spend time in jail instead of being immediately deported." So Sr. Presidente! if you do meet with these two U.S. Senators please feel free to pass along some thoughts from (at least) this U.S. Expat who is grateful to be allowed to live in your wonderful nation. First, tell 'em to bite me (LOL)! Respectfully, and all kidding aside, tell 'em that for longer that McCain has been alive (believe it or not) and long before you, EL Jefe, were born, our borders have worked (over all) just fine, thank you very much! Also tell 'em to take their politically motivated 'scheme' to get re-elected and instead of turning up the 'hysteria' and converting the border region into a deepening 'police State' (more than it already is) simply address, in an honest straight forward manner, the bigger picture. And they can do so starting with the general U.S. foreign policy habit of meddling way too much in the affairs of other nations (the primary reason of 9/11 I might add) all over the globe... Next, they must fess up to the U.S. demand for recreational substances and if they are going to pass any more laws they need to start legalizing some of these herbs by starting off with a 'command' (law) from "God", ergo: Genesis 1:12 "And the earth brought forth the grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good". And Genesis 1:29: "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of the tree yielding seed; to you, it shall be for meat". Next, have 'em go after the US companies who are directly responsible for a huge aspect of illegal immigration into the USA and while I'm at 'it', how about giving the Mexicans (and others) the same (equal protection) shot the Cubans get when they make it to U.S. 'borders' (shores)... On top of that Sr. Presidente! I also have a 'plea' for your to consider as well. Yes, you are doing a fine job but it is also about damn time that the Mexican people are well paid for their labor too.... And perhaps it is also time for your administration to create a more business friendly (hassle free) environment so that Mexican and International firms will be more willing to invest in this great nation and its people, thus creating more jobs, wealth, security..... Now I don't want this to get out, Jefe, but just between the two of us many Mexican Citizens do indeed want to travel and visit the USA (and other nations) on vacation, etc. but for those who have the ability to make a good (or better) standard of living in Mexico most have no reason or desire whatsoever to move north, and for good reason!
