Old Port/Fish Market

The Old Port/Fish Market is still a huge attraction for Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) Mexico. The visitors are known to gather in this area not only for its shopping and eating, but for hosting major events! Some events include The Annual Shrimp Festival held in mid January, Harley Davidson Biker Rally held usually the first weekend in November, The Cinco de Mayo festivities are held in Old Port as well. Here you will also find many restaurants to chose from; The Friendly Dolphin, The Point, Casa del Capitan, The Lighthouse,  Latitude 31, Lapa-Lapa, Flavios, and Sr. Amigos. ATV/quads & jet ski rentals can be found all over. Shopping, shrimp market, fishing charters and much more!

The Mirador

The Mirador is the center of nightlife. The Sand Bar, is known for its great food, drinks, and music. It also has an out door palapa where you can enjoy your drink as well as watch horseshoe and volleyball tournaments. The Pink Cadillac has been around for over 15 years! Here they have the largest selection of spirits and beers. This is one of the most common night clubs in Rocky Point! Manny's has also been around for many many years. Here you can enjoy the restaurant with great food, or any one of their 3 bars, and dance floor! The Ice House always has good music and the dance floor is always busy. Elixar is set up like a lounge. With a great modern like atmosphere the lounge attracts many and after a while there is standing room only. You will hear some of the best beats around and have lots of fun on their dance floor. There are also several hotels within a short walking distance to the beach.

Las Conchas

Las Conchas is a gated community with beautiful beachfront homes. You can rent many of the houses there ranging from 1 bedrooms to 10 bedrooms. Each home is individually owned and decored to the owners taste. These homes are beautiful and each are one of a kind. This area is ideal for family vacations. The beach in this area is private so its not open to the general public.

Playa Encanto

Playa Encanto is located further east of Las Conchas. This is one of the newest areas in development. It is about 20 minutes from down town Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) Mexico. Most homes here are solar powered and require to have the water delivered to them once or twice a week with normal usage. The beach in this area is very sandy and rock free. It is considered one of the nicest beaches in Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) Mexico. 

Sandy Beach

Sandy Beach is a great family beach. It is now filled with resorts and hotels. It's a popular area in Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) Mexico. It has a very nice "sandy" beach which is great for children. Located on the beach are these properties: Las Palomas, Sonoran Spa, Sonoran Sea, Princesa De Penasco, Bella Sirena, Casa Blanca, Las Gaviotas, Marina Pinacate, Penasco del Sol, Playa Bonita, and Laos Mar. The Sea of Cortez can be enjoyed from any part of this beach. This area is also known for many of the beach activities that go on in Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) Mexico. It is open to the public for all to enjoy!

Cholla Bay

Cholla Bay is most popularly known for JJ's Cantina. Its about 6 miles from Old Port. Cholla Bay is also well known for many of the annual sporting events. These include fishing, golf tournaments, sky diving, off roading, sail boating, and bath tub races. Xochitl's Pizza is also located in the Cholla Bay area...
