Spring Break 2010 in Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) Mexico, met expectations that surpassedlast years spring break. According to the Sonoyta-Lukeville border crossing, spring breakers made there way to Penasco; 17,000 during the first week, and 19,000 the second. Many visitors extended there stay in Puerto Penasco, compared to last year. The economy got a daily boost of approximately 1 million dollars per day, for a total of at least 10 million dollars from March 12th – 21st. The first week of spring break had an average occupany rate of 46%, which reached 56% during it’s second week.
